Call for Nominations for ALATA Executive Council

Please note that there will be two vacancies on the ALATA Executive Council as of December 31, 2013.  The non-officer position currently held by Michael Stevenson, with one year remaining will be vacated as Michael was recently elected to the position of Vice President, effective Jan 1, 2014.  In addition, the office of President-Elect is still vacant.  Pursuant to the ALATA Bylaws section 3.6B, a special election will be held to fill these positions.  The person elected to the non-officer position will serve the remaining year of current term and be eligible to serve two additional terms should he or she be nominated and re-elected (see ALATA Bylaws section 3.4).

The nomination period will open September 19, 2013 and close on October 19, 2013 at midnight.  Elections will begin immediately and proceed for 30 days; and upon the completion of voting, the elected official shall take office January 1, 2014.

All Officers and Non-Officer Members of the Executive Council must be either a Certified/Licensed or Licensed member in good standing of ALATA, Inc.  All Executive Council Members must have been a Certified/Licensed or Licensed member of ALATA, Inc. for a minimum of two (2) years immediately prior to nomination.  A member entitled to vote on ALATA, Inc. affairs, as set forth in Article I in the Bylaws, may nominate an eligible member for a position on the Executive Council.  Nominations must be made in writing, to include email, to the Secretary of ALATA, Inc.  When making nominations please include your ALATA/NATA member number for verification as well as the name, place of employment, and contact information of the person you are nominating.

ALATA 2014 Annual Meeting and Symposium

The 2014 ALATA Annual Meeting and Symposium site will be at St. Vincent's Bruno Conference Center in Birmingham, Alabama on May 30-31, 2014.  Details regarding schedule, CEU's will follow.  Please make plans to join us in Birmingham next year!
